The Awakening of Body and Mind

“You don’t need numbers to tell you whether you’re at risk of illness.”
This is not an exaggeration, but a heartfelt statement—intended more as encouragement and a reminder than instruction.

The most difficult question is: “If we don’t rely on numbers, how do we know if we’re normal?”
The biggest fear is that someone might secretly doubt, “Isn’t this just empty talk?”

But in my understanding, the greatest risk lies precisely in those seemingly safe numbers.
Experience has shown time and again that “normal values” often conceal the silent threat of sudden collapse—or even sudden death.
This is precisely what passive health management must thoroughly reexamine.

Biochemical figures certainly have their reference value,
but true blockages and imbalances in the body are often not visible in the numbers.
They can only be detected through imaging scans—
and even then, this remains within the realm of passive health management.

The greatest value of fasting does not lie in the act of abstaining from food itself,
but in teaching the practitioner how to listen to the voice of the body.
And how does one become fluent in that language?
The key is to integrate fasting into daily life, to let it naturally fuse with one’s way of living.

This is a path that belongs to oneself—an inward journey,
like an expedition, like a treasure hunt.
What we’re searching for is a tacit understanding with the body;
what we’re unearthing is the wisdom and convictions the body has been trying to pass on to us.

In life, there are always some encounters that are “destined but not meant to be”:
meeting someone but only in passing, loving someone but unable to stay together,
being with someone but unable to go far.

Your body, however, is undoubtedly your closest and most destined companion.
It supports you day and night, tirelessly and without complaint.
And yet, to say that we are “estranged” from our own bodies is a heartbreaking but brutally honest truth.

“But isn’t the brain a part of the body too?”
This is often the first confusion people have:
“Why must we separate the brain from the body in discussion?”
Especially for those accustomed to thinking,
it’s hard to accept that every life decision we make isn’t just brain-driven—
our bodies have always been deeply involved.

The brain exists, yes,
but it often oversteps its role.
It doesn’t act as the body’s spokesperson, but rather as a servant trained by the outside world—
because the authority of thought has long been outsourced.

And so, passive health becomes the norm. Passive living becomes the default.
The irony is that the brain is unaware of its own passivity.
It behaves with authority—like a boss that tolerates no dissent, like a dictator ruling over the body.

It was during a time when I wasn’t even seeking answers that I stumbled upon this truth:
that the brain had invaded the sovereignty of the body.

I began to think from the body’s perspective only after my fasting practice had deepened.
By then, I was interacting with many participants—people who were also pursuing wellness,
but whose perspectives stood on different ground.

I realized: health has no such thing as “all roads lead to Rome.”
The structure of the body is like the island of Taiwan—
head in the wrong direction, and you’re lost.
If you’re in Taipei and go south, you will never reach Keelung.

In this matter, credentials, certifications, science, and technology can all be set aside.
As long as the brain takes the lead and the body follows passively,
no matter how hard you try, it’s all in vain.

It’s like flattering a boss every day—
when the lies grow tiresome, the boss will still have to go home and face the emptiness.

The way of the universe is to replace falsehood with truth.
Taking medication daily to suppress symptoms is no different from bowing for a bowl of rice.
Both are shortsighted compromises—
choices made by a brain too afraid to face the truth,
mistaking itself for the master.

Health must be body-led.
This has been true since ancient times.

The spirit longs to return to its source—many have already awakened to this.
The body too longs to go home—
to the original place it was entrusted with the task of keeping balance.

It is not enough to hear the voice of spirit;
we must also hear the voice of the body.
Only by living in accordance with both can we live in alignment.
The creativity and intelligence of the brain should also function under these two guiding forces.

The awakening of the spirit has long had countless wise guides.
The awakening of the body is still in its infancy.
But those who understand body consciousness know:
this is an inner awakening project.

Some may react immediately:
“Isn’t this an act of rebellion against the medical system?”
But the truth is:
Everyone has their own body. The body has always been there.
It is medicine that has distanced people from their bodily voice—this is a fact that cannot be denied.

Once we truly grasp this simple truth—
that every human being has a body—
we will understand:
this is not about opposition.
It’s about recording the truth, and reclaiming the human right to self-awareness and inner knowing.

This force cannot be stopped.
And this awakening—
must be passed on for generations.
