Superpower

I’ve always believed that to master a skill most people don’t understand, one needs more than just intense curiosity—it also takes extraordinary insight.
Both are essential on the path of learning how to fast.

From my observations, those who are able to “be with themselves” tend to have a much smoother journey with fasting. Because such individuals are attuned to their bodies, communicating with the body becomes natural and intuitive.

Fasting is a skill—not everyone can learn it, and not everyone wants to learn it.
If you’ve already mastered it, never assume others around you can easily follow suit. Not everyone is like you—distinct, exceptional.

Mastery of fasting doesn’t call for pride, but it does deserve to be honored.
When someone asks for your guidance, remember to give them a fair warning: this is not a wellness path for everyone.

There is an indescribable link between fasting and confidence.
What each person comes to realize through fasting may differ, but all who walk this path will eventually discover something extraordinary about themselves.

Fasting is more than just a method of health maintenance; it’s a way of life.
When it becomes part of your daily rhythm, it creates a chasm between you and the world—because you’ve become one of the “others,” someone who lives in deep alignment with their own body.

Strictly speaking, once fasting deepens, it stops being merely a method and becomes an inner path to health.
Every step along this path reveals new landscapes of self-evolution.

For nearly two decades, I’ve been documenting my observations and guiding thousands of students.
And many of them—despite their curiosity—lack the insight needed. Fewer than ten percent truly follow through, syncing their practice with their body’s natural timeline.

The most common source of disruption? Family.
Those who persist with fasting despite opposition usually have already grasped its essence.
Those who give up due to resistance, more often than not, haven’t truly learned yet.

Step outside a fasting-oriented environment, and chances are, you’ll also step away from fasting.
Many beginners disagree when I say this—they believe they’ve learned enough to manage it on their own.
But they forget that “eating and desire are basic instincts,” and underestimate the seductive pull of the world around them.

To become someone who follows the body’s natural way—that, in my view, is a superpower.

And this superpower is not born in isolation; it’s formed through the chemical bonds forged between people, within specific environments.

Environment is an invisible yet powerful form of solidarity.
If your home or workplace can’t support a culture of fasting, then your superpower must stay tightly connected to external fasting communities.

There is no hierarchy in this environment—no seniority, no privilege.
In long-term fasting, whether novice or seasoned, every session begins at zero.
And the power of a group will always surpass that of a lone warrior.

A true fasting environment must be a learning space.
It is through learning that we strengthen the motivation to cherish our bodies.
Learning is a responsibility, a right, and an obligation.
It is the force of learning capacity that sustains the chemical bond of this superpower.

Those unwilling to learn often mistake fasting as merely a technique.
Some even downplay fasting while overemphasizing enzymes.
Others falsely believe that sheer willpower is enough to master it in isolation.

Some people overestimate themselves, others underestimate themselves.
But those who can truly integrate fasting into their everyday lives—they are never ordinary.

From a societal perspective, fasting is not just a niche—it’s often misunderstood, lumped in with MLMs or dismissed as a folk remedy.
That is yet another form of our misunderstood superpower.

It’s perfectly normal for your partner not to practice fasting.
Even if they’re not opposed to it, they still hold their own judgments and attachments.
That’s why you, who continue to persist, are so exceptional—imbued with remarkable strength.

If you’re fortunate enough to co-create a fasting culture at home with your partner, that is superpower squared—a bond between two people that inspires envy.

Fasting has a depth that seems inexhaustible—precisely because we are so unfamiliar with our own bodies.
And to truly know your body, you need this kind of superpower.

As humans, we can misunderstand the body, neglect it, or—given the chance—finally understand it.
Modern society is a structure that collectively abuses the body.
Without superpowers, how can we hope to reverse this condition?

We are incredibly fortunate to live in an environment that values the body, that encourages deep self-care.
To possess a human body and not treasure it—through the lens of evolution—that is truly a waste of divine potential.

Cherish your superpower.
And fight, with everything you’ve got, to reverse this era’s destruction of the body and the land.
