Traveling to Heaven
I still remember the very first time President Chen mentioned “fasting” to me. It was one evening, right after I had finished giving a lecture on probiotics. My immediate reaction was: “Fasting? That must be way too difficult!” Nearly twenty years have passed since then, and now, if someone searches online for “fasting coach,” my name might appear rather quickly.
For most people, fasting still carries the impression of being “difficult.” To teach fasting is an even lonelier task—almost no one dares to take it on. Yet I chose to shoulder this responsibility, and in the process, I repeatedly surpassed my own understanding of the body.
To be honest, I have almost forgotten how I managed to get through it step by step. But one thing I know for certain: not once, not even for a second, did I ever think of giving up.
Curious people often ask: “Why promote fasting?” My answer is: “Because fasting is the only pathway through which we can fully trust our body.” If they continue to ask, “Why should we trust the body?” I would say: “Because only when you realize that the body is capable of everything, can you truly hold your health in your own hands.”
The best doctor already lives within us. This truth cannot be taught by words alone; it must be experienced firsthand. But who is willing to try? More often than not, only those who carry a strong sense of motivation.
Thus, understanding motivation—and guiding it—becomes the most crucial element in fasting education. Looking back, so many failed cases can almost always be traced to one thing: the wrong motivation.
—
Who Is Fasting For?
People often ask me: “Is fasting suitable for everyone?” My answer is: “Yes, and no.”
From the body’s standpoint, everyone needs fasting. The body requires fallow periods, a time to clear away toxins and waste. Yet the degree of obstruction differs from person to person, especially due to the accumulation of food, drugs, and additives.
Those who have long relied heavily on medication are, in fact, the ones who need fasting the most. But ironically, they are also the ones who find it hardest to practice, as withdrawal reactions from drugs can be unpredictable and overwhelming. Unless their motivation is crystal clear, their will unshakable, and they fully understand the challenges ahead, it is unwise for them to attempt it rashly.
The ones who truly go deep into fasting are often those who recognize how they have long been poisoning their own body, and who firmly believe in the principle: “When the body is not busy digesting food, it begins to process waste.”

Realization Through Practice
In becoming a “fasting coach,” my own lived experience has always been the most genuine teaching material. Theories are only secondary; real understanding comes through realization in practice. Every landscape of fasting must be witnessed personally.
Fasting is a compulsory lesson for modern people, yet it runs counter to our social environment. That is why a tailored atmosphere and setting are needed—places where the body can speak. Only those who are familiar with such spaces can truly grasp the way of the body.
The decision to fast may begin in the mind, but the true motivation often arises from the body. Once we start from the body’s perspective, we are led into an astonishing world. Eventually, we surrender to the body and, in turn, feel disillusioned with the medical system.
The fasting journey is extraordinary: the eyes crave food, the mind grows quiet, and the body returns to peace. Compared with the noisy cravings of the outside world, every faster describes it as a “journey”—a brief excursion to heaven, before returning again to the human realm when fasting ends.

A Trip to Heaven
A short fast may be done alone, but who really enjoys traveling in solitude—especially through such unfamiliar territory? Companionship makes the path more secure. Encouragement, sharing insights, walking side by side—all of these help beginners stay steady. That is why I suggest that novices practice in groups: with coaches and experienced peers as companions, the experience becomes far more profound.
From heaven’s height, looking down upon the human realm, one can deeply sense the body’s needs—both with gratitude and a dreamlike awe. In that moment, the reason why humanity is plagued with illness becomes crystal clear.
For this reason, we hold two sessions each year, inviting those willing to reconnect with their bodies to join us on a “trip to heaven.” This three-week journey allows participants to bear witness to the extent of damage inflicted on their bodies over the years.
As more participants join, the energy gathers into a force of influence, helping more people to realize: fasting is neither a venomous snake nor a wild beast.

Passing It On
Joining a “trip to heaven” is not only for oneself, but for the community; not only a personal example, but a legacy. Its deeper meaning lies in awakening human consciousness, and those with the will are bound to join, one after another.
Once the foundation is built, more will take their place. The blueprint for fasting education has long been prepared. This is a calling rooted in education, a priceless experience that humanity must cherish.
We carry the responsibility of passing this on to the next generation. The pinnacle of human evolution must be wisely employed; we cannot allow nature’s backlash against humanity to intensify and engulf our descendants.
Looking back over these past twenty years, I see it as a record of human nature, and a record of evolution. Most importantly, it is also a record of human selfishness and arrogance—and at the same time, of reflection and repentance.
