A New Milestone for Selfasteam

Why Must We Undertake Long Fasting?

This question must be answered by the fasting warriors themselves. The body’s responses are visible in their experiences—spectators can neither imagine nor understand them.

Experience has taught me that this is fate, an opportunity. Those who don’t believe in it give up the chance to change their lives. Those unwilling to try abandon the opportunity to collaborate with their own bodies.

The body’s ability to store waste is only our most superficial understanding. The ability to cleanse deep-seated toxins is what moves us after experiencing fasting. Even the most incredible miracles have happened.

You must personally grasp what “the most incredible miracles” truly mean. The body receives every intention we send, records every emotion we feel, and fulfills every request we make.

This is a story of mutual trust. If you don’t believe in your body or yourself, the beautiful results you hope for will never come. The story of long fasting is the story of trusting both your body and yourself.

How many decades do we have in a lifetime? Generally speaking, we can count them on both hands.
If I had to pick the most precious decade, I would, without hesitation, choose the first ten years I dedicated to health education. It was also the critical decade in which I fully learned to trust my body.

Trusting the body is a process, one that is difficult to describe in words. It is a richness that accumulates over time. Looking back, I recall how my body continuously transmitted messages to me through intuition.

Understanding comes through contrast, through personally guiding students—one batch after another, month after month. I came to realize that their confusion was strikingly similar: they lacked the body’s perspective and relied solely on what their minds could see.

Deepening my fasting practice was an essential part of my development during that phase. My motivation was twofold: fulfilling my responsibility as an educator and gaining a clear understanding of my own body’s condition. I meticulously recorded how my body stored toxins and impurities.

People say, “Wherever you go, you leave traces behind.” I would add, “Whatever you eat, you accumulate.” The insight that “if the body isn’t processing food, it is processing waste” became a profound realization for me.

Why can’t we sleep? Why has sleep become a universal struggle in modern society? Because we fundamentally underestimate its importance and overlook the value of bacteria.

We must train our bodies to think—not through biased reasoning, but through an impartial, body-centered logic. We must act not for immediate gains but from a selfless, intrinsic motivation.

Respect the natural laws of day and night. Follow the rhythms of nature. In our smallness, we will find vitality—because kindness responds to kindness, humility connects to humility, and sincerity understands sincerity.

Cherish what you have. Sleep is one of those treasures.

The ultimate principle of health protection is rejecting the idea of “having no choice.” The ultimate principle of self-love is rejecting emotional bullying.

Through deep exploration of the body’s wisdom, I have come to see how indifference and ignorance play out in human behavior. By understanding the disharmony between different worlds, I have learned to accept diverse perspectives with an open heart.

One day, upon realizing all these truths, I wrote down my most important life motto: “Do what must be done.” The wisdom of life is not about following the majority but about taking personal responsibility for one’s own choices.

When faced with unhappiness, never engage in arguments—just leave. Do not allow others to repeatedly violate your emotional boundaries. When faced with relentless offenders, distance yourself.

It’s hard to believe how difficult it is to get an appointment with some doctors. Society worships these so-called top specialists, yet their reputation is merely a product of marketing. The comfort of seeing a well-known doctor is nothing more than psychological reassurance.

Every hospital reflects a passive ecosystem where doctors act with impunity while patients obey without question. The busier doctors become, the sicker their patients grow.

What exactly are medications treating? Not a single illness is truly cured. Every prescription only guarantees an endless cycle of dependency.

Will you drift along with this tide, or will you fight against it?

If you have awakened to this reality, know that hospitals are the cliff’s edge—you must develop the ability to stay away.

Life is a journey of dissolving the fear of the unknown. When the things you fear most appear before you, the fear vanishes in an instant—because you have no choice but to face them.

Troublesome, terrible, and difficult situations will inevitably come. The causal thread of life cannot always be dictated at will.

Uncontrollable factors lurk just beyond the boundaries of what we can control, waiting for the right moment—not only affecting us but also impacting those we love and those who love us.

The hardest part of life is not knowing what the people you love are thinking. They may choose something harmful to themselves—something beyond your control—yet you must bear the consequences of their choices.

A single seed can grow into a vast forest—this is how nature flourishes, and how time and patience shape perfection.
One person, one seed, one commitment to responsibility.
A group of people who love themselves and stay true to who they are.
A large community, all holding the wish for a better planet.

When eight out of ten people practice mindfulness, the remaining two will follow.
When three out of five people embrace responsibility, the other two will, too.
If the majority is positive, the group will be positive.
If good currency dominates, bad currency will disappear.

Having walked the path of deep fasting, I have found myself fearless.
I have realized that the body holds infinite potential.
By looking inward, I have discovered kindness and unwavering faith.

The path of the body has its depths. Taipei is where we first launched our mission, but I have always known that kindred spirits must be found in the south. The awakening force in Taiwan is gathering.

We are building a sanctuary that returns the body to its natural state of health. This is the great responsibility of our generation of Taiwanese. For the sake of future generations, we will not hesitate.

A project of happiness, a mission of fortune—taking on this responsibility is our greatest blessing.

Illness arises from bodily imbalances. Restoring balance should be the priority. Loving oneself should mean aligning with the body’s natural rhythms, yet this fundamental health principle is often ignored.
Caring for the body starts with respecting its needs. Modern diets require major adjustments, and reducing unnecessary strain on the body should become a daily practice.
Breast milk demonstrates life’s essential requirements, yet we have long misinterpreted it merely as a source of nutrition. In nature, food primarily serves to sustain life, but we have been taught to see eating as merely consuming nutrients.
While nutrition is important, its role should come after sustaining life. Reversing this order has led to widespread health imbalances.

Replacing nutrition with life itself—this was the shift in perspective that fasting taught me. Through the refinement of not eating, I gained insights into wellness. I realized that if I hadn’t walked this path, I would have suffered a great loss.

This realization led to an internal dialogue: “If I grasp a truth that most people don’t understand, what can I do with it?” Unknowingly, this question has guided me for nearly two decades.

It has been a journey of forging connections, filled with misunderstandings and misinterpretations. The conflicts it has caused within families were never my intention. Yet, I firmly believe that holding onto truth will ultimately overcome opposition.

Everyone must return to a state of self-connection. Surprisingly, understanding one’s body becomes a shortcut to self-discovery. No one should reject their body’s wisdom. My work requires me to continuously face resistance and misunderstanding.

From people who suffer from chronic constipation yet eat three full meals a day, we can understand how extreme climates manifest in the human body. The stubbornness of the first brain not only pollutes the second brain but also feeds back into its own thought processes, creating more mental blockages (negative thinking).

The phrase “A belly full of waste, a mind full of negativity” is not a joke—it is the prevailing reality of modern society. The absurd “treating symptoms instead of the root cause” mentality that dominates medicine has only exacerbated the congestion between these two brains.

Examining the first brain’s attitudes and behaviors, we find that stubbornness is a mild issue—arrogance is the real disease. When communication between the two brains breaks down, lack of awareness is a minor symptom, while hypochondria is the severe one.

The fundamental solution is for the first brain to submit to the second. The first brain must take responsibility for maintaining the environment of the second brain. This is the essence of fasting. As human health continues to decline, fasting has emerged as a critical and necessary practice for all.

Life education constantly reminds us to take the long view. As students, we were taught not to cram at the last minute, yet “seeing a doctor when sick” is a form of short-sighted social conditioning.

Life is precious, yet I continue to hear sighs of regret from those whose lives have been compromised by medication. I grew up witnessing this tragic cycle—an endless play of accumulating toxins in the human body.

But I have awakened. And one by one, I am awakening those who are receptive to intuitive signals. I truly believe that all it takes is a single moment of realization for many to never turn back.

However, even after waking up, one can still fall back asleep. Awakening should not be paired with cycles of unconsciousness. Maintaining a state of awareness is both an art and a test.

The path to health is not about choosing the right nutrients, brands, or expert opinions. Intuition is the body’s way of speaking—it’s just that we often fail to receive the message or mistake it for junk mail.

The body understands health best. The soul knows life’s direction most clearly. Yet, we spend our entire lives letting an out-of-touch mind act as our tour guide—misinterpreting the body’s needs, ignoring the soul’s cries, and accidentally walking ourselves into the grave.

The pursuit of wellness is not about breadth but depth. Information and reading provide breadth, but depth comes from experience and tradition. Many scholars and experts possess knowledge in great breadth, but those with true depth are the ordinary individuals who immerse themselves in personal practice.

As long as an overconfident mind continues to dominate, the list of life’s regrets will only grow longer. We can excuse the arrogance of youth and ignorance, but we should not allow ourselves to go through life oblivious, insincere, or emotionally detached.

When I heard about the passing of singer Khalil Fong, my first reaction was: Another tragedy caused by lack of sleep.

Having followed both domestic and international singers for a long time, I have come to label every premature death of a singer as a case of “Sleep Neglect Syndrome.”

American singer Glen Campbell suffered from dementia in his later years. This struck me deeply because I was familiar with all his songs. I realized that those who spent their youth creating during the night were, in a way, pre-booking Alzheimer’s. Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Human arrogance is punished by nature. Giving up sleep at night is one of the countless small icebergs floating atop a massive super iceberg.

I have long advocated for respecting bodily awareness. Initially, my focus was on hoarding waste, but as my awareness of health expanded, I came to understand that an even greater storm loomed ahead. Beyond just neglecting sleep, humanity also underestimates the destructive power of stress and medication.

The threats to our health are right beside us. We bear stress and accumulate emotions, all in the name of survival and making a living. We sacrifice sleep and carry the burden of defying natural laws.
